Please pardon the absence.

It has been a bit of a strange, introspective summer. I expected things to get LESS hectic after the semester ended, but it’s seemed quite the opposite. It’s been a bit emotionally taxing.

And in the past few days it’s gotten worse. I was just to a point where I wanted to start posting again, but I’m gonna need a little more time. A friend of mine, who I hadn’t seen in a few years but whose family is pretty close to mine, was tragically killed in a car wreck a few days ago.

To say I’m a mess over it would be an understatement.

I’m going to need some time. The funeral is Wednesday at 2 p.m. If you’re the praying type, i’d appreciate it. If you’re not, I appreciate your good thoughts every bit as much.
